Yo yo!

Welcome back to 5 Minute Masterclass, the weekly refresh for awesome humans on the clock.

I’m on a mission to support as many people as possible who need coaching... but don’t have the cash or time to engage in it.

So if these emails float your boat, please forward it on to a colleague, friend of family member who might benefit – if they write back to me, I’ll always respond!

Short on time? Skip the warmup, and jump straight to the questions at the end.

The Warmup

Those Ancient Greek philosophers would have slayed on TikTok.

Catchy and provocative McNuggets of knowledge served in 60 secs or less?

Check.

Stirring up controversy by throwing shade and trolling enemies?

Check – Diogenes’ beatdown of Plato made Kendrick vs Drake look like a cuddle fest.

OGMotivational Insta-Coaching?

Chickity chickity check – Socratic Method, anyone? More like Socratic Monetisation!!!

Not sure how fly old Socrates was…but chuck a ring light and some Face tune on there?

Plus some tunic and sandal affiliate marketing?

TikSokrates is straight swimming in moolah, Scrooge McDuck style.

My MVP though?

My homie Epictetus.

For starts, HE LITERALLY HAS EPIC IN HIS NAME!!!

Plus his quotes hit like an Amanda Nunes gut punch.

Here’s a wisdom-bomb for the day:

“There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will.”

Bearing in mind, this is from a fella born into savage slavery – whose master intentionally broke his leg as a youngen.

How about this one as a clarion call for keeping your tribe tight and tidy:

“The key is to keep company only with people who uplift you, whose presence calls forth your best.”

YES! No energy vampires, no soul suckers – just awesome peeps that make your awesome even more so.

But the one I really needed today is this:

“You are not your body and hairstyle, but your capacity for choosing well. If your choices are beautiful, so too will you be.”

I’m legit foggy-eyed retyping this right now.

Let’s make beautiful choices this week.

Because that’s what’s really epic.

The 5 Minute Masterclass

If you're new, here's the drill – this is your 5 Minute Masterclass in YOU.

Set a timer for 5 minutes on your phone or computer. This week, you have a choice:

  • Take EXACTLY 1 minute per question to     answer 5 questions.
  • Choose 1 of these questions to do a 5 minute deep dive on.

Smash it out, hit send, then skip out into your Friday buoyed on your wins and lightened of your burdens!

Let's go!

1. What did you do this week that felt important?

2. What from this week will you purge and leave behind?

3. What from this week will you celebrate and take forward?

4. What are you going to do next week – and how will you measure progress?

5. Is there anything else on your mind that feels important to say?

Have an awesome weekend

Nick
